Work of 16 volumes in 8 volumes. Half leather bindings with gilt titles and friezes on the spines and marbled plates: traces of dust, abrasions on the plates, edges and curved corners. Abrasions to the backs and headphones. Cuts lightly sprayed with traces of dust. The head cuts are particularly darkened. Leaflets with flourishes, particularly at the beginning and end of the volumes and in the margins of the leaves. Quinterni 19 and 20 of the second tome exchanged position: annotations in the upper margins of leaves in 20, 20.8 and 19 indicating the error. Annotation in pencil on the last flyleaf of volume 8. The first original edition was published from 1809 by the publisher H. Nicolle in Paris up to volume VIII and from volume IX by Treuttel et Würz in Zurich between 1815 and 1818
